Death of retired Trooper Steven P. Bilodeau | Passed away from an illness stemming 9/11

It is with deep regret and sadness that Superintendent Steven G. James announces the line-of-duty death of retired Trooper Steven P. Bilodeau.

On Thursday, August 22, 2024, Trooper Bilodeau passed away from an illness stemming from his assignment in and around the World Trade Center site following the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001.

Trooper Bilodeau retired from the New York State Police after 32 years of dedicated service, on April 11, 2010. He was last assigned to Troop C -SP Homer.
