The Chase

At approximately 2:54 p.m., New York State Troopers attempted to stop a 2018 Kia near Exit 21 on the New York State Thruway for a traffic violation. Instead of complying, the driver sped off, weaving through traffic and leading troopers on a chase through Leeds and Jefferson Heights before reaching the Village of Catskill.

The pursuit ended when the suspect abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, prompting a short chase before officers apprehended him without further incident.
