A 29-year-old Lockport resident, Jaquan J. Wright, was arrested on March 4, 2025, by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) for multiple serious charges, including Burglary in the 2nd Degree, Menacing in the 2nd Degree, and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

The Crime
The charges stem from a January 3, 2025, incident in Lockport, where Wright allegedly forced partial entry into a home on Dysinger Road and threatened several victims with a black handgun. The BCI launched an investigation after receiving the menacing complaint, which ultimately led to the issuance of an arrest warrant.
The Arrest
On March 4, 2025, after a joint operation with the US Marshals Task Force, authorities located Wright at an address on Chapel Street in Lockport. Upon his arrest, Wright was found to be carrying a 9mm handgun with no serial number, along with a loaded high-capacity magazine—both of which are illegal under state law.
