On November 8, 2023, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation out of SP Clarence and SP Penfield arrested Thomas M. McCorry, 48 of Penfield, NY for Stalking 3rd degree, Criminal Impersonation 2nd degree and Aggravated Harassment 2nd degree.
On September 15, 2023, Troopers out of SP Clarence received a report of a possible stalking complaint. The two victims were receiving threatening, harassing emails and physical mail. McCorry claimed to be, Investigator Richard Harder in some of the emails and digital correspondence. The Bureau of Criminal Investigation had multiple warrants issued to gather IP addresses and other pertinent information regarding the identity of the suspect who would be identified as McCorry.
McCorry was arrested and processed at SP Penfield in Troop E without incident. McCorry was arraigned at the town of Penfield Court and released on own recognizes. An Order of Protection was issued to McCorry.
