NYSP Wall of Honor - Today we remember Trooper Thomas L. Corbett

On August 13, 1933, Trooper Corbett died as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident on January 14, 1931, in the town of Caledonia, Livingston County.

Trooper Corbett suffered spinal injuries and a crushed pelvis when the vehicle he and another Trooper were traveling in was forced off the road. He was never able to leave the hospital and received a disability retirement on August 1, 1931. He passed away from complications more than two years later.

Trooper Corbett, age 31, from Batavia, joined the State Police on July 16, 1921, and was assigned to Troop A.
