OFFICERS SEIZE THREE STOLEN HANDGUNS AFTER TRAFFIC STOP

On Wednesday, August 7th, around 11:18 a.m., Syracuse Police Officers Mulroy and Silvaggio conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Sabine Street after observing a vehicle operating in violation of New York State Vehicle and Traffic Laws.

Upon stopping the vehicle, officers identified the driver as Dorian Roller. Roller did not possess a valid driver's license and stated that none of the other three passengers in the vehicle did either. Officers Mulroy and Silvaggio then completed a search of the vehicle before it was due to be towed.

During the search, Officer Silvaggio located and recovered three different firearms. The recovered firearms included a loaded black and grey SSCY CPX-1 9mm handgun, with five rounds in the magazine and one round in the chamber; a black and pink GSG Firefly .22 caliber handgun, with ten rounds in the magazine; and a light blue and silver Glock 42 .380 handgun, loaded with six rounds in the magazine and one round in the chamber. All three handguns were determined to be stolen out of Broome County.

The occupants of the vehicle, 19-year-old Dorian Roller, 31-year-old Argenis Henriquez, 19-year-old Kiyshawn Pam, and a 15-year-old juvenile were each charged with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm and three counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree. Roller, Henriquez and Pam were all lodged in the Onondaga County Justice Center, while the 15-year-old juvenile was remanded to Hllbrook.

We would like to thank Officers Mulroy and Silvaggio for their keen observation skills, which helped to recover three stolen firearms off of City streets.
