Rome Man Arrested in Annsville Burglary Case After Stolen 4-Wheeler Recovered

According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, a Rome man was arrested on February 8th, 2025, following a burglary investigation.

 

On December 23rd, 2024 at approximately 09:35 am, Oneida County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an address in the Town of Annsville, regarding a burglary complaint. Deputies were advised that a 4 wheeler was stolen from a building. Further investigation was completed by members of the Road Patrol Division and as a result, the stolen 4-wheeler was recovered from the backyard of a nearby residence. The investigation was turned over to members of the Criminal Investigation Unit and a search for a suspect ensued. 


On February 8th, 2025, Road Patrol Deputies located one of the burglary suspects at a residence, in the Town of Annsville. As a result, Joshua J. Tanner (33), was arrested and charged with Burglary in the third degree, a class D felony. Tanner was transported to the Kurt B. Wynman Law Enforcement Building for processing. Tanner was then transported to the Oneida County Correctional Facility and is currently awaiting Centralized Arraignment.
