State Police arrest Schenectady woman for stealing more than $50,000 from employer

On May 6, 2025, State Police of Princetown arrested Gina L. Luby, 53, of Schenectady, NY, for Grand Larceny in the second degree, a class “C” felony.

On February 11, 2025, Troopers received a complaint from a Duanesburg, NY business reporting a theft. The investigation determined Luby had been employed by the business in the accounting department since January 2020. From January 2022 until December 2023, Luby allegedly overpaid herself without authorization or permission on multiple dates, resulting in the theft of more than $50,000 from the business.

Luby was arrested at her Schenectady home and transported to SP Princetown for processing. She was then transported to the Schenectady County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
