PRESS RELEASE
State Police are investigating an ATV crash that occurred August 27, 2023, at 6:46 p.m., on Top Notch Road in the town of Fairfield, Herkimer County.
The preliminary investigation has determined an Artic Cat TRV 500 ATV, operated by Kira M. Miller, age 44 from Little Falls, NY along with a passenger, 23-year-old Patrick E. Reardon, from Little Falls, NY were traveling westbound on Top Notch Road at a high rate of speed when Miller drove off the roadway, and struck an earth embankment. Both occupants were ejected from the ATV.
Miller was airlifted by LifeNet to Albany Medical Center for a serious head injury. Reardon was airlifted by Mercy Flight to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
